Anežka Jabůrková has been working as a curator and cultural worker for several years, most notably as the head curator at the Czech Centre. As part of her work there, she conceptualized and realized projects for the entire network of Czech Centers. Concurrently, she has curated numerous solo and group exhibitions, including at the Exile Gallery, hoast artist run space… Her work focuses on themes of inequality and exclusion, including migration, 24/7 society, labor politics, care work, parenthood, toxicity, and environmental rights, among other issues. In her practice, she has organized numerous workshops, including activities for children, and facilitated and fostered cultural exchange and dialogue. As an essential component of her projects is art mediation.
In 2022, she was invited to co-curate a feature-exhibition for the Wienwoche Festival at Semmelweis clinic. Leveraging her experience and expertise, she supports artists in realizing their projects. In recent years, she has assisted for example Kateřina Šedá in her projects for the Wiener Festwochen, KÖR Wien, and in Hainfeld. Due to her high level of academic and linguistic competence, she is engaged as a consultant, interpreter, and translator, such as during the “Manush heißt Mensch” exhibition at the Kunsthalle Wien.
In 2021, she was selected through the open call for emerging curators by the Wien Museum Musa to curate a thematic exhibition at the MUSA Start Gallery in 2024.
In 2022 she became a parent to Anouk.
